Basic Protein Pancakes Recipe Ingredients – 1/2 cup quick oats (can use rolled oats, but the mixture will need soaking overnight) – Tablespoon of yoghurt or custard – 1/3 cup milk – 2 egg whites (could use one egg, but it may taste slightly egg-y) – 1 scoop protein powder – 1/2tsp baking powder Method: 1. Combine all ingredients. 3. Add in anything you like eg. choc chips, cacao nibs, berries, or leave plain. Leave to rest for at least 5 minutes. 4. Cook the batter into small pancakes on a pan over low-medium heat. (I use one heaped tablespoon for each, and it makes 8-12 pancakes) 5. Stack pancakes, and get creative with the toppings!!!!!! Enjoy! Note: Soaking the mixture overnight makes a smoother, thicker batter, however they are still delicious prepared just before cooking:) If you are not using protein powder I suggest you can flavour it with something else eg. vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa/cacao powder | |
