Baked oats have been with me throughout my whole recovery – I used to have them every morning without fail; they were the first food I began to enjoy. And now, I have them occasionally for breakfast (I have found a new obsession with oatmeal now:P), or when I need a breakfast on the go I take them cold - just like a muffin! They seriously taste like a muffin, but better! If you haven’t tried baked oats, you really have not lived! Baked Oats Ingredients: 1/2 cup oats 1/4 cup custard (or milk) 1/4 cup milk 1/2-1 scoop protein powder (can omit) 1 SMALL egg 1/2tsp baking powder any flavours ie cinnamon, vanilla 1. Mix ingredients and refrigerate overnight. 2. Preheat oven to 180 degrees celcius. 3. grease ramekin. 4. leave plain, or mix in choc chips/fruit/nuts/etc. Pour into ramekin. 5. bake for 30 minutes, or until set. Enjoy warm or cold! |
